Don’t Walk, Run! — D-71

4월10일 – 4월16일

Despite the fact that school is trying to eat me alive right now, I’ve managed to keep up with my Korean studying this week.  I’m using Memrise again for studying vocabulary, and I’ve set daily goals for my courses so that I’m motivated to not ruin my streak.  So far so good – an 8 day streak.

I’ve also reviewed a few TTMIK grammar lessons and listened to a few Iyagis before bedtime.  Recently TTMIK added dialogues to their curriculum for Levels 3-5 (before they only had dialogues for Levels 1 and 2), so I listened to a couple of those as well.  I remember when I first listened to the Level 2 dialogue a looong time ago, I probably only understood 25% of it.  When I listened to it again for fun this week I was pleased that I understood it all — proof of progress.  Yay!

In other news, I started watching Running Man this week.  I’ve known about the show for a very, very long time, but I never thought I would like it.  Well, I was wrong — I think it’s hilarious.  Also, it’s great for vocabulary building, with all of the random descriptions/captions in Korean they throw on the screen.

I totally did not realize that Song Joongki was part of the original cast!!  I’m so used to seeing him with that military haircut in Descendants of the Sun that he looks like a total baby on Running Man.  So adorable!

Speaking of Descendants of the Sun, I’m up to Episode 12 now.  (I’m not a Viki Pass member, so I have to wait 2 weeks for episodes to be released ㅠ.ㅠ)  Have I mentioned that I love that show?  I don’t know what I’m going to do with my life once it ends.

  1. Been watching RunningMan since the beginning. It has it’s good and bad episodes like any long running series, but still my favorite K variety Show. I got to talk to Kim Jong Kook and HaHa at a fan meet, and HaHa liked my jacket, particularly their patch.
